CONCRETE ADMIXTURES
DESCRIPTION
KKS® FIBER PP-48ME is high quality polypropylene in large structure of fibers (Macro), its designed specification to minimize and control shrinkage cracks in Fiber-Reinforced Concrete and Shotcrete.
KKS® FIBER PP-48ME is in compliance with the requirements of ASTM C1116-91.
ADVANTAGES
KKS® FIBER PP-48ME is uniformly distributed to provide an internal reinforcement to:
- Increased resistance to cracking
- Increased durability of concrete
- Increased waterproofing ability
- Increase the cohesion of fresh concrete
- Improve impact and abrasion resistance
- Improve the deformation ability
- Improve tensile and bending strength.
USES
KKS® FIBER PP-48ME fibers reinforce fresh concrete and reduce its shrinkage cracking. KKS® FIBER PP-48ME is used for:
- Slabs
- Pavements
- Precast concrete products
- Heavy-duty industrial floors
- Overlays
- Shotcrete.
Polypropylene fibers are not intended to replace structural steel.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
APPLICATION
Simply add KKS® FIBER PP-48ME to the concrete mixer at a rate of 2-3kg per cubic meter. A mixing time of 3 to 5 minutes is necessary to ensure the dissolution and therefore a uniform fiber dispersion. For better dispensation, KKS® FIBER PP-48ME should be mixed into batching after concrete aggregate crushing together with mechanism.
KKS® FIBER PP-48ME is compatible with all KKS admixtures.
The standard procedures for placing, finishing and curing concrete shall be followed. In addition, proper reinforcement and joint spacing should be observed.
