CONCRETE ADMIXTURES
DESCRIPTION
KKS® CURING 815 is a premixed silicate based curing compound. When applying in fresh concrete surface, it will form a microcrystalline covering film to fill and prevent premature water loss due to evaporation, thereby helping to hydration of cement in the entire volume of concrete blocks occurred entirely and minimize cracking on concrete surfaces.
ADVANTAGE
• Reduce shrinkage includes reduce cross-foot crack and stretch marks on vertical and horizontal surface.
• Help the concrete reach maximum hydration, strength, durability and surface hardness.
• No film formation but becomes a part of the concrete surface due to the silicate reaction, thus providing lasting maintenance and great dust resistance.
• Non-toxic, non-flammable and suitable for use where solvent process systems are not available.
• When used properly, KKS® CURING 815 will not impair the concrete surface adhesion with subsequent construction steps. Suitable for industrial hardener/concrete floors.
• Allows walking on the concrete surface after 24 hours.
USE
• Replacing water curing.
• Suitable for concrete in the harsh condition.
• Mass concrete, needs to have good maintenance, reduce cracking on concrete surface.
• For tunnel segment construction.
• It is possible to install KKS® CURING 815 onto new concrete to increase the properties of the cured concrete and increase the strength of the concrete.
APPLICATION
SURFACE PREPARATION
Concrete surfaces should be clean, free from dirt, mud, grease...
CONSUMPTION
0.1 – 0.2 liters /1m2 depending on wind, humidity and temperature at construction site.
APPLICATION
Roller or low pressure sprayers are evenly spread KKS® CURING 815 on the entire surface of the concrete block immediately after the water splits on the surface of the concrete have evaporated or after the concrete surface is rubbed if the use of hardener.
For optimal performance, KKS® CURING 815 should be applied immediately after the concrete is ready for maintenance and use at a sufficient level, avoiding puddles.
APPLICATION CONDITIONS / LIMITIONS
If the weather is too hot or the concrete is direct exposure to sunlight, it should be covered with PE plastic shield for at least 2 -3 hours to form microcrystalline film.
CLEANNING OF TOOLS
Wash all equipment with clean water immediately after application to avoid hardening.
