CONCRETE ADMIXTURES
DESCRIPTION
KKS® FIBER PP-12 is high quality micro monofilament polypropylene fibers in compliance with the requirements of ASTM C1116-91 Standard Specification for Fiber-Reinforced Concrete and Shotcrete.
They are designed to minimize and control shrinkage cracks in concrete.
ADVANTAGES
Due to their fineness and a special surface treatment, KKS® FIBER PP-12 is uniformly distributed to provide an internal reinforcement to:
- Reduce plastic shrinkage cracking
- Improve fresh concrete cohesion
- Improve impact and abrasion resistance
- Improve concrete durability.
USES
KKS® FIBER PP-12 fibers reinforce fresh concrete and reduce its shrinkage cracking. KKS® FIBER PP-12 is used for:
- Slabs
- Pavements
- Precast concrete products
- Heavy-duty industrial floors
- Overlays
- Shotcrete
- Polypropylene fibers are not intended to replace structural steel.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
APPLICATION
Simply add KKS® FIBER PP-12 to the concrete mixer at a rate of 1 bag per cubic meter. A mixing time of 3 to 5 minutes is necessary to ensure the bag dissolution and therefore a uniform fiber dispersion. For better dispensation, KKS® FIBER PP-12 should be mixed into batching after concrete aggregate crushing together with mechanism.
KKS® FIBER PP-12 is compatible with all KKS admixtures.
The standard procedures for placing, finishing and curing concrete shall be followed. In addition, proper reinforcement and joint spacing should be observed.
