WATERPROOFING
DESCRIPTION
KKS® WATERSEAL 307 is a waterproofing slurry and coating. It contains two components of cementitious and modified polymer. It is designed to prevent water infiltration for concrete and mortar.
ADVANTAGE
• The components are ready-made, easy to use.
• Excellent elasticity, waterproofing and the ability to sealing the cross-food cracks.
• Good adhesion to sound surfaces.
• Non-toxic, non-corrosive and can be used in place exposure with potable water
• Effective barrier against carbonation process.
• Allows the surface to breathe, avoiding stress due to vapor pressure.
• Easily applied by brush or spray.
USE
KKS® WATERSEAL 307 can be used for external and internal waterproofing, repair work and protection from frost and deicing agents.
Areas of application:
• Potable water tank
• Basements
• Terraces and balconies
• Bridges
• Retaining walls
• Sealing hairline cracks, not subjected to movement
APPLICATION
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
Ensure substrate is clean and sound, free of dust, loose particles, grease or any other contaminants. The substrate must be damped but free from standing water.
MIXING RATIO
A(Liquid)/ B(Powder)=1/4(by weight)
A set of 25kg includes 5kg/pail of part A(Liquid) and 20kg/bag of part B(powder)
MIXING
Use the clean container to slowly add the powder componet to liquid componen while stirring them by using grill mixer at slow speed until the mixture is consistency and free of lumps.
APPLICATION
While the substrate is still damp from saturation, apply the first coat by stiff brush or short-haired roller in a certain direction, keep the thickness not more than 1.0mm. The position adjacent to the vertical surfaces must be covered. Leave to harden for approximately 4-5 hours. Apply the second coat in a direction that is perpendicular to the first coat. It is recommended to prewetted the first coat if it’s done 10-12 hours before the second coat is applied.
LIMITATION
• Never use more than 4 kg KKS® WATERSEAL 307 for 1 m2 per application
• KKS® WATERSEAL 307 is not intended for decorative surfaces and may expose the white spots when wet. But this does not affect the quality of the coatings.
CLEANING OF TOOLS
Tools and equipments should be cleaned immediately with water. Hardened and/or cured material can only be mechanically removed
