DESCRIPTION

KKS® GROUT 90 is a ready-mixed cementitious grout with selective aggregates, just add water to create a unity mixture with excellent flow, shrinkage compensated, self levelling, suitable for normal pumping or pouring. Early compressive strength while also extending working time that suitable for large application areas.

USE

• Can be used in the pressure pumping construction into the gap between concrete structures and precast concrete.
• The high early strength property is suitable for work that requires early loads including machine bases structural columns, restressed girders, bridge bearings, rail posts and seating’s bolt etc.

Especially, KKS® GROUT 90 is specialized in filling joints between wind turbine steel pillars and precast concrete base. Suitable for construction applications on land wind turbines.

APPLICATION

SUBSTRATES PREPARE

Surface must be clean, free from oil, grease and other contaminants. Moisten with water but do not leave the water remains on the surface before application KKS® GROUT 90.

MIXING

Mix with proportion of water/powder is 11-13% (about 2.75 - 3.25 liters per 25 kg bag).

To achieve the desired results, use a mortar mixer. Do not mix it by hand.

Pour 80% of water into the mixing tank, add the flour slowly and mix at least 3-4 minutes until the mixture becomes plasticizer, add the remaining water and mix to reach the required flow.

Pour mortar after mixing to release the air bubbles that created during the mixture.

APPLICATION

Construction of grout must be rapid and continuous from one side, without interruption to avoid bubbles trapped in grout. Ensure formwork is firmly placed and watertight, pour the grout to fill and full. Do not use the machine, just use the iron rod or wood to compact. For KKS® GROUT 90 to achieve optimum expansion result, apply mortar as quickly as possible, preferable within 15 minutes after mixing.

PRODUCT CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS

• To avoid cracking of exposed surfaces, protect from direct sun and/or strong wind.
• Use only on clean, sound substrate.
• Do not exceed water addition.
• Not to be used for concrete repair works.
• Do not use vibrating tables.
• Pour or pump from one side only.
• Do not add additional water during the surface finishing as this will cause discoloration and cracking.
• Avoid exposing surfaces during rainfall and prior to final set.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean with water as soon as the equipment is no longer used.
